拉迪亞德•吉蔔林,十九世紀末英國(guó)詩人,曾旅居美國(guó)、南非、加拿大等國(guó)家,于1907年獲得諾貝爾文學(xué)獎。
《如果》是拉迪亞德•吉蔔林寫給12歲兒子的勵志詩,曾被(bèi)譯成(chéng)27國(guó)語言作爲學(xué)習的教材。他的詩仿佛在不經(jīng)意中完成(chéng),卻産生了巨大反響。裡(lǐ)面(miàn)的很多句子成(chéng)爲各國(guó)青年奮鬥的座右銘,據傳邁克爾•傑克遜的墓志銘就是這(zhè)首詩。

If you can keep your head when all about you,
如果在衆人六神無主之時,
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

But make allowance for their doubting too,

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
